Nicki recognizes the emotional, and often challenging journey of conception and therefore provides support and resources to navigate with compassionate care & trauma informed wisdom.  Nicki's expertise and bodywork experience are a blessing when your body is dealing with the challenges of conception, hormone imbalance and pregnancy and you need to rely on natural remedies. She's also a DONA-trained doula and birthing goddess, possessing an impressive number of tools to help you have the birth experience you envision.

When not at the clinic you can find Nicki on her yoga mat, breathing, chanting, listening to music, podcasts and books! She is the proud mother of two “ferocious” Bangel kitties who teach her the simple art of Zen & unconditional Love on a daily basis.

Nicki is licensed through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and holds a diplomate of Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is one of only 9 Certified Fertility Specialists in the state of Minnesota with the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and is also a DONA-trained doula and graduate of an exclusive Chinese medicine obstetrics apprenticeship.

As an innate seeker of knowledge, Nicki is also a certified massage therapist, Therapeutic Coach, Reiki practitioner, and Vinyasa and Yin yoga teacher.

Early in her career, Nicki had the profound privilege of working and training at a clinic whose specialty was women's health and fertility and who received the Best of Minneapolis award each consecutive year she was there. It was during these formative years where her passion was ignited for fostering the integration of science, art and the wisdom of humanity.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Nicki at Healing InSight. She was warm, friendly, comforting and so very genuine as she listened to my history of 10+ years on birth control, a couple of abnormal paps, etc. Never once did she judge, make me feel like I had done something wrong or worry me. She put together a plan for me and made me feel at ease, like "we've got this." After a handful of appointments and following Nicki's suggestions - voila I was pregnant!! For over 3 years I had been experiencing a variety of seemingly unrelated symptoms.  I had seen no less than 11 doctors and specialists about the various symptoms and was offered little to no insight into what I was experiencing and the few treatments I tried were ineffective.  On top of these symptoms, my husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years, but with no success. I knew little about acupuncture and wasn't sure I "believed" in it but I decided to try it because I literally had nothing to lose. Because Chinese medicine focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms (like the many doctors I had seen), it only took one appointment with Nicki for me to learn that the many symptoms I was experiencing were in fact related to each other and also played a role in my infertility. I quickly adopted acupuncture as a regular and ongoing treatment and not only do I feel better overall but many of my symptoms have disappeared completely and I finally became pregnant.  I continued to see Nicki throughout my pregnancy.  Acupuncture helped to curb my morning sickness and Nicki provided me with resources, tips, and stretches that I could do on my own.
