For most people, acupuncture doesn't hurt. You'll be surprised at how painless it is. Some people feel so relaxed during the treatment that they fall asleep. Most people exclaim afterward, "that's it?!" They get up feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. If your body is more sensitive, our practitioners will adapt the treatment to be even more gentle.

Absolutely not.  We might make recommendations for herbs, dietary supplements, or skincare products to help you achieve your health goals, but we never pressure you to purchase these products from our clinic.

We only sell herbal products from a few select companies. That's because we thoroughly research and vet each company to be sure they meet the highest quality standards. None of our herbal products are made in China. They are either made in the USA or countries with even stricter quality guidelines. All of the herbs are tested to be free of contaminants. Studies show that acupuncture works even on pets. You do not need to believe in it to work. Still, we also know that it will be more effective if you feel relaxed about your treatments. Showing up with an open mind is never a bad thing.

The relief that people feel from each treatment typically lasts longer and longer over time so that they can come in less and less frequently. Most acupuncture patients come in once or twice a week at first while Functional Chinese Medicine patients have sessions every few weeks. The number of sessions you will need depends on the complexity of your condition and how long you had the condition. For acute conditions, you may only need a few sessions. For chronic conditions, most of our patients feel significantly better within 3-6 months of treatment.

When we combine therapies for you to do at home (such as herbs, supplements, and dietary guidance), we can bring your body into balance so that you rely on less frequent sessions over time. Many patients transition to coming once a month to maintain wellness. We have a membership program to make that easy and affordable to do.
